Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

In celebration of the Presidents Day here is the trailer for "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter". The film explores the secret life of one of the greatest US presidents, and the untold story that shaped a nation. Visionary filmmakers Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov bring a fresh and visceral voice to the bloodthirsty lore of the vampire, imagining Lincoln as history's greatest hunter of the undead. Enjoy!

Poppin' Pritchards

The Pritchard made its debut a little over a year ago in the Vans OTW Collection. We presented our take on the traditional dress shoe back in Spring 2011 with a few tweaks to the OG design.

While we kept the general construction of the uppers, we played with the outsole, integrating our Vans DNA into the silhouette with a faux-heeled rubber cupsole paved with waffle tread. This season we play with the outsole some more, hitting the black open canvas colorway with a rich green pop and the brown shag suede style with a brick red detail.

Vans OTW Presents: Eric Elms - Wish You Were Here

Renowned photographer Peter Sutherland shot and edited this mini-documentary centered around Vans OTW Advocate Eric Elms' "Wish You Were Here" exhibition for OffTheWall.TV. Sutherland followed Elms to Japan as he ventured through Tokyo and showcased his new works at Common Gallery this fall. Aside from elaborating on his means of expression, Elms also spoke candidly about his interest in the zine format, history of Kilroy, Japanese culture and more. Chicago's Cloud Gate "Luminous Field" Light Show

One of Chicago's most famous public installation located in Millennium Park, "Cloud Gate" also known as "The Bean" by contemporary artist Anish Kapoor got a little makeover by a creative team Luftwerk. Using the sculptures reflective surface with the help of a dozen of projectors and lights the group turned "The Bean" into a light show titled "Luminous Field". The show starts at 6pm everyday and runs through February 20th. So if you are in Chitown, do check it out in person.

Takashi Murakami “Ego”

Takashi Murakami is set to open his seminal solo show in Qatar featuring more than 60 works from 1997 to the present, as well as several new pieces. Including his famous works such as Kaikai Kiki , Lots of Faces and Pom and Me, installation of LED pedestals with digital animation, a circus tent that doubles as a cinema, and a new 100-meter long painting that wraps around the entire space exhibition. One of the most impressive pieces presented is a giant inflatable balloon of Murakami himself at the entrance of the exhibition. Check out a few preview photos from this amazing event.

Wes Anderson's "Moonrise Kingdom" Trailer

Wes Anderson is back! For his latest film he once again teamed up with another talented writer/director Roman Coppola. "Set on an island off the coast of New England in the summer of 1965, 'Moonrise Kingdom' tells the story of two twelve year-olds who fall in love, make a secret pact, and run away together into the wilderness. As various authorities try to hunt them down, a violent storm is brewing off-shore -- and the peaceful island community is turned upside down in more ways than anyone can handle. Vans OTW Presents: Live in Berlin

The Vans OTW Collection kicked off our new season of product and celebrated the addition of two new Advocates, Lupe Fiasco and Chris Kong, at the House of Vans Berlin for our 2012 Launch Party. The night featured artwork exhibitions by our Advocate team including Kong, Eric Elms and Dimitri Coste while Fiasco and music legend Yasiin Bey (formerly Mos Def) shut the night down with live performances for party goers. Photo Recap: Michael Miller "West Coast Hip Hop, A Culture in Pictures"

LA's Known Gallery hosted a two day only engagement for Michael Miller's solo show "West Coast Hip Hop, A Culture in Pictures" this past weekend. The exhibition featured never before seen photographs of some of the biggest names in rap, rock and jazz of the ‘90s composed from Miller's portfolio of over 300 record covers, ad campaigns and private sessions spanning 25 years.

Lupe Fiasco Set to Perform at Rolling Stone's Bacardi Bash

Rolling Stone celebrates Bacardi's 150th Anniversary this Saturday and Sunday as part of their Rock Weekend celebration. The music publication has pegged Vans OTW Advocate Lupe Fiasco along with other acts such LMFAO, Gym Class Heroes, Cobra Starship and DJ/actress Taryn Manning to as performers for Saturday's Bacardi Bash! The event takes place February 4 at Indianapolis's Crane Bay Event Center from 8pm to 2am. Tickets are still available, get yours at Eventbrite.

Stainless Steel and Marble Sculptures by UNMASK

A trio of Beijing-based artists under the moniker Unmask Group or Liu Zhan, Kuang Jun and Tan Tianwei create these intense figurative sculptures out of stainless steel and marble. The works are quite beautiful and expressive. Check out the rest of them after the fold.

Throwback Thursday: "Daydreamin'" - Lupe Fiasco f/ Jill scott

This edition of Throwback Thursday revisits Lupe Fiasco's "Daydreamin'" single from 2006. One of the lead singles off of Food & Liquor, "Daydreamin'" helped propel Fiasco into the international spotlight and it also lead to his first Grammy win in 2008 for Best Urban/Alternative Performance. Over five years later, we see the sequel to Food & Liquor on the horizon with Food & Liquor II currently in the works and we also see another possible Grammy win with Fiasco going into the 2012 ceremony with three nominations for his work on Lasers.

JR: The Wrinkles of the City, Los Angeles

French street artist JR, was in Los Angeles working on his "The Wrinkles of the City" project which features the large-scale photo murals of the city's residents. The LA Chapter of the project is detailed in this short film that captures the back story behind JR's murals and gives the viewer insight into how much research, time and energy a project like this costs.
